Week of March 9

AP Music Theory--Ear training–chord progressions, melodic dictation, sight singing. Chapter 10–Cadences, Phrases, & Periods. .Homework assigned every day in class.

Philharmonia Orchestra–  New music to be learned–Speckled Hen Overture & Havana. Be sure to practice a minimum of 120 minute each week and submit on Charms.

AP Music Theory--We will continue to work note naming, key signatures–major and minor. Adding intervals–ascending. Chapter 8–Part Writing. Ear training–7th chords, melodic & harmonic dictation. Quiz over Chapters 5-7 on Friday, March 6.

By the end of week, we will be in chapter 4–chords in a diatonic key. Additionally, we will build major and minor scales. Basic ear training will be practiced. We will have an ear training quiz on Thursday.
